In fact, I did something I’ve never done before-I read slower so the book would last longer (on purpose!). Her words spoke to me in a way that I’ve only experienced on rare occasions. It took me several tries to get through the first chapter.īecause her book is filled with truth. Gilbert’s words brought me to tears within a few pages. I mean, Elizabeth Gilbert obviously wrote this book just for me, so why did it take me so long to read it? When I finally did read it, I wished that I had read it sooner.
